After 12 years in finance, including nine years with VINCI Energies, Anaïs Boitel switched tracks to work in the field as a project manager at Omexom RE Export. VINCI Energies has actively supported this career change.
It was during her first professional experience in Ghana that the then 19-year-old Anaïs Boitel decided that her future career had to have an international dimension. But after a posting to London with Alstom Transport, a job with Cegelec SAS in Saint Denis, where she worked on an Algerian thermal power plant project, and two-and-a-half years in Athens, the young administrative and financial manager set her sights on an operational role and is now a project manager at Omexom RE Export in Montpellier.
Since her arrival in February 2023, Anaïs Boitel has been working on two bid submissions for solar power plant projects in Sweden (a 100 MWp site) and the United Kingdom (29 MWp). “We’re working on these dossiers in partnership with local Omexom businesses. I’m learning a huge amount about electrical engineering, materials and manufacturing methods. I can’t wait to work on a project and see it taking shape in the field.” Over the coming years, her aim is to complete projects with different unique features and ultimately, to manage an activity or business unit, “To manage every aspect of a dossier, have a global vision and develop what is required in line with our business strategy.”
