Coupe de l’X : VINCI Energies and students join forces for Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque
VINCI Energies was present in the Coupe de l'X village to get students involved in the cause supported by Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque and to raise funds for the association through sporting challenges.
Since 2017, VINCI Energies has been supporting the Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque association as part of the Initiatives-Cœur sports and solidarity project. Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque Enfants du Monde enables children with heart malformations to come to France and be operated on when they cannot be treated in their home countries due to a lack of financial and technical resources.
This year, VINCI Energies sponsored the Coupe de l’X once again. This sporting event, which brought together many students from French schools and universities, was an opportunity to share VINCI Energies’ commitment to solidarity with them.
On this occasion, 2,500 students took part in the challenge proposed by VINCI Energies: spending as much time as possible on a rowing boat or hoisting virtual sails with a winch. For each of these actions, VINCI Energies made a donation to the Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque association. VINCI Energies undertook to donate €10 for each sail hoisted with the winch and for each minute spent on the rowing machine.
The students’ efforts raised €4,300 for Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque.
