SDEL Contrôle Commande’s employees gave 182 kg of boxes of toys, games and books.
Joujou is a workshop that takes in people in vulnerable circumstances – especially women – in Nantes and sets them on a path into a sustainable job. The toys, games and books will be sorted, cleaned and refurbished by Joujou, then given to children via local charities (Secours Populaire, Salvation Army) or sold at a “nice price” at Joujou’s shop on the Île de Nantes.
In 2020, backed by the Fondation VINCI pour la Cité, SDEL Contrôle Commande gathered about 40 kg of toys in a week for Regards, another charity.
“Last year, our employees saw what the operation achieved. To get them involved this year, I posted photos of the containers on our in-house social networks. This exceeded last year’s donations!” underlines Blandine Coiscaud, communication officer for SDEL Contrôle Commande
In 2021, the company’s employees brought in 182 kilos in only three weeks.
“Giving back is heart-warming for everyone. Thanks to these donations, we are doing our part to help women back into jobs and giving the toys a second life!” she concludes.
