Associação Gaivotas da Torre, a Portuguese charity that supports people facing socioeconomic and psychological difficulties, received financial backing from the Programa VINCI Para a Cidadania to help it purchase a van.
The Programa VINCI Para a Cidadania recently demonstrated its support for Gaivotas da Torre by financing the purchase of a van. The charity’s aim is to provide professional, educational and social support to people and families facing socioeconomic and psychological difficulties. The acquisition of this vehicle gives the charity a real springboard for improving its capacity to develop and expand its initiatives. This new resource will enable Gaivotas da Torre to positively impact the lives of 150 people.
Caroline Ausset-Guerra, CSR Manager at VINCI Energies, emphasises the importance of this collaboration: “This is an amazing project built with support from our collaborators. It establishes the value chain that couldn’t exist without these individuals.”
Nuno Caldeirinha, the project’s sponsor, also shares his experience: “I had never been involved with a charitable organisation, but thanks to the Programa VINCI Para a Cidadania acting as a catalyst and enabling us to discover different initiatives, I did get involved and loved it.”
This initiative aligns perfectly with VINCI Energies’ solidarity commitments, which mean engaging with civil society, in a sustainable way, everywhere that our business units operate.
