VINCI Energies has acquired Appex, a French company pioneering services in consulting and the integration of data management and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions, to bolster the Data Analytics services provided by Axians in France.
Set up in Paris in 2008, Appex generated revenue of €5 million in 2019, primarily in banking and insurance, as well as in retail. In 11 years, driven by the momentum created by the company’s founders, Antoine Perchet and Dominique Sanjivy, Appex has emerged as a benchmark in the market, in particular as a result of its technological choices based on innovative solutions (such as AtScale, DataRobot, Delphix, Domino Data Lab, IBM Netezza, and Snowflake etc.).
“This strategic acquisition strengthens our Data Analytics services and offers our existing and potential clients additional expertise by extracting the value from data generated by our business departments,” said Bruno Lampe, CEO VINCI Energies France Cloud Builder. The executives at Appex, Antoine Perchet and Dominique Sanjivy said, “joining VINCI Energies via its Axians brand will enable us to scale up our processes, increase our rate of growth and expand our client portfolio.”
Appex has its own certified training centre, the Data Academy, which offers tailored courses in AI-based data management.
