The support will enable Vale de Acór to acquire a van to sell the products made in Almada. The charity has been working since 1994 in the field of rehabilitation of drug addicts.
In a symbolic ceremony, the handover of another donation was formalised by Pedro Alfonso, director of VINCI Energies in Portugal, representing the VINCI para a Cidadania foundation.
Vale de Acór reaches out to drug addicts, seeking to establish a link with the existing support network, while at the same time developing a process of motivation and orientation towards screening and health treatment. The charity officially visits hospitals, prisons, parish centers, health centers and, informally, places of consumption or any other place indicated as needing to be visited.
It has also established a protocol with the Regional Social Security Centre of Almada, which provides support for social action cases, referral to treatment and self-help groups.
VINCI Para A Cidad is the result of a joint commitment by VINCI Airports, VINCI Energies Portugal and the VINCI Foundation for the City to contribute to the progress and development of local communities in an inclusive and sustainable manner. The foundation is involved both financially and through skills sponsorship, thanks to the sponsorship of our employees involved in the projects supported.
