VINCI Energies acquires Strong-IT in Innsbruck, thereby expanding the range of services offered by its ICT brand Axians. Strong-IT has been protecting companies against digital threats for more than ten years, while Axians brings in comprehensive IT services and strengthens the strategic growth area of cybersecurity as part of a 360° portfolio of services.
Strong-IT’s three teams, Attack, Defense and Hunting, identify a wide range of attack vectors used by malicious actors and work closely with customers to effectively eliminate the vulnerabilities found. A SOC service (Security Operations Center) also continuously monitors attack attempts and hardening progress. This concept enables customers from all sectors, such as industry, the financial sector and public institutions, to concentrate on their core competencies while their IT and IT security are continuously and modularly improved by specialized experts. With more than 20 employees, Strong-IT generated a turnover of around 6 million euros in 2023.
“With Strong-IT’s expertise, we are strengthening our range of cybersecurity services. Cyberattacks are increasing rapidly and can cause enormous damage, so the need for specialist expertise is greater than ever. With the integration of Strong-IT, we are expanding our resources in this area and can offer our customers an additional attractive service with the Security Operations Center,” explains Bernhard Leitner, Managing Director and Business Area Manager Axians ICT Austria.
Since it was founded in 2011, Strong-IT has developed expertise that means significant security benefits for customers. Owner David Winkler and his team simulate attacks, create resilience against cyberattacks, provide support in the event of an emergency and offer training in workshops. “We have experience as both defenders and attackers and accompany companies on the way to an optimally secured network depending on their protection requirements. Our roots are in Tyrol, our customers are all over Austria – and we draw our expertise from the collaboration of many clever minds worldwide. I am delighted that we can now contribute our depth of experience to a company of international stature,” says Strong IT Managing Director David Winkler.
