The VINCI UK Foundation recently donated more than £3,000 to support Cycling Minds, an association that helps people with life difficulties such as mental health problems, unemployment or special educational needs.
The Cycling Minds association, based in Hexham, Northumberland, received a donation of £3,078 from the VINCI UK Foundation to finance a battery charging unit for its fleet of electric bikes.
Founded in 2021 by three Hexham residents with a passion for cycling, the association uses the sport to improve the mental and physical health of people facing life difficulties, such as mental health problems, unemployment or special educational needs. Cycling Minds also offers its beneficiaries the opportunity to develop skills to help them find work.
In addition to the financial contribution, Cycling Minds will enjoy the support of a VINCI UK Foundation sponsor – David Pallent, General Manager of the business unit Actemium Automation Teesside: “I’m very enthusiastic about working with Cycling Minds. Their team does really important work for our young people in the Northeast, and I know that my team at Actemium Automation Teesside is keen to get involved and make the difference.”
