Oleo100 is a plant-based fuel made from 100% French rapeseed that can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 60%. More than 1,000 heavy goods and construction vehicles in VINCI Energies business units in France are compatible with Oleo100.
The agreement signed on 25 February 2021 with Saipol, which produces and distributes Oleo100, offers VINCI Energies business units in France the advantages of a turnkey plant-based fuel solution for an estimated 1,000 compatible HGVs and construction vehicles. This green energy formula, derived from rapeseed oil of certified French origin, can reduce CO2 emissions by 60%.
This agreement contributes to the Group’s environmental objectives, and specifically those of VINCI Energies in France, which is aiming to reduce its own per-person CO2 emissions by 20% by 2023, with a target of 50% by 2030.
Hervé Adam, CEO of VINCI Energies France, says:
“This type of partnership should help us accelerate our own energy transition, providing our local business units with access to environmentally sound solutions. In fact, it was one of them, based in Hauts-de-France, that initiated this collaboration with Saipol when it introduced Oleo100 in its construction vehicles in March 2020.”
