Paris Half Marathon 2025: another child saved with Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque

On 9 March, 26 VINCI Energies “Coureurs du Coeur” ran the Paris Half Marathon in support of Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque, to offer a child with heart problems a new life.

Since 2017, VINCI Energies has been supporting Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque through sports and solidarity projects including the yacht Initiatives-Cœur, the Étape du Tour, and this year for the first time, the Paris Half Marathon.

The aim of this initiative was to allow committed employees to push themselves physically and become ambassadors for the Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque charity. On 9 March, 26 VINCI Energies employees joined the Coureurs du Coeur team, ready to run just over 21 km to help save a child with heart problems. Starting on the Boulevard SaintGermain, their route took them along the banks of the Seine, then across Paris to the east as far as the Château de Vincennes, before finally reaching the finish line in the Place de la Bastille.

The efforts of the VINCI Energies Coureurs du Coeur and the support of their business units made it possible for Maty, a one-year-old girl from Senegal, to undergo heart surgery and return to her loved ones in fine health.
