The Valley and The Ensemble projects: Bosman Bedrijven contributes to sustainable buildings

The Valley certified BREEAM “Excellent”
In the Zuidas business district in Amsterdam, The Valley brings together 75,000 m2 of office space, shops and green terraces. Bosman Bedrijven, which has been awarded all facilities related to the building, has enabled it to receive the BREEAM “Excellent” certification for its sustainability results.
For this project, Bosman Bedrijven took care of the entire technical installation, both electrical and mechanical as well as sanitary, together with its collaboration partners. The company equipped the building with 7,000 Signify sensors, which measure temperature, CO2 levels and light. These sensors thus manage the operation of the climate ceiling, only when people are in the building. Solar panels installed on the roof allow The Valley to be energy neutral, an essential criterion for obtaining BREEAM certification. To obtain the 4 stars guaranteeing the certification, the building has been designed with an exterior facade ensuring that the external climatic conditions do not affect the interior installations. Finally, in the car park, in the absence of movement of people or vehicles, the lighting is reduced to 30%, thus reducing overall energy consumption.

The Ensemble, a new project entrusted to Bosman Bedrijven in Amsterdam
More recently, Bosman Bedrijven was awarded the project The Ensemble in Amsterdam, a new generation carbon neutral building. The Ensemble is a new mixed-use building comprising two residential towers with 592 rental apartments, 19,000 m² of office space and large outdoor spaces. Health services, social centers and shops will complete this large-scale project.
Bosman Bedrijven will oversee the development of this building complex which will aim to obtain the most demanding environmental standards, with BREEAM certification (Excellent level) at stake. It will handle all the installations related to the building, except for heat production. The project will start in the first quarter of 2022 and end in the second quarter of 2025.
